This TV had more features than we would probably ever use in our lives. The feature that made us buy this LCD TV was the color quality. It had a special color feature that was developed by Vizio called Color Vision. The amount of colors that can be displayed on the screen of this TV is unreal! It can display over six thousand shades of gray and 231 billion colors. That makes for a very vibrant and colorful picture.

The ease of use on this TV is outstanding. I was able to set it all up and display the channels that we subscribe to all in under two minutes. It was easy to set up the clock as well as the default video display resolution. Letterbox was the perfect fit for us. We had a bit of trouble programming the remote control to communicate with the DVD player though. However, this was of no fault to the Vizio P50HDTV10A, it was the DVD player.

I would give the Vizio an overall 9 out of 10 ranking. The only thing I had issues with was setting up the remote control, but that was of no fault to the TV, but the DVD player. A younger person may have been able to do it much faster, but it took me a few minutes. As a family, we decided to go with the biggest possible television we could afford. That TV ended up being the LCD TV model made by Vizio, the fifty inch Vizio P50HDTV10A. This TV had so many features that we probably will not use them all in our lifetime, but it’s good to know they are there. The feature that helped seal the deal was the color quality, and Color Vision, a special color feature developed by Vizio. The number of colors that can be displayed on this TV is incredible. There are over six thousand shades of gray, and two hundred and thirty one billion colors. It makes for a brilliant and colorful picture.

The clock setting menu was super easy and so was setting up the default display resolution. The only thing I had a little trouble with was programming the remote so that I could integrate it with my DVD player. This was not the fault of the Vizio P50HDTV10A though, it was the fault of the DVD player.

In the end, I feel comfortable rating this TV a nine out of ten. The only reason the experience lost points was because of the remote control set up. This is my own custom review of the Vizio GV47LF LCD TV that I purchased just a few months ago.  It was an impulse purchase for me since I was at a local big box store when I noticed a large display that advertised a really low price on the 47 inch unit.  10 feet away from the display was another television which was made by a different manufacturer and it was literally double the selling price of the Vizio.  After further inspecting the posted features and specifications, I realized that the Vizio was an incredible deal.  The only difficult thing about it was that I had to convince my wife that we needed to buy this TV now.

After around 20 minutes of discussing the better points of the television with her, and basically ease bartering away all of my free time for the next 350 weeks so that I could do all of the yard work that I had been putting off, I was finally able to purchase it.  As soon as I paid for the television, I felt like a child on Christmas morning.  When we went to leave the store, we had discovered that it was raining.  At this point, I turned into a worried mother who is constantly paranoid and protecting her newborn.  I was worried that we would get a drop of water on the new Vizio GV47LF when all the while my wife was getting drenched.

I had to avoid law enforcement on the way home because I was driving the way too fast for the conditions.  When I finally did get home, I unloaded the television, and ran inside to hook it up.  The whole process took about 1 minute and the picture quality and sound produced by the Vizio GV47LF completely blew me away.  I give this TV a 9 out of 10 and the only thing it loses points for is the fact that my back is still sore from all of the landscaping work I agreed to do.  However, it was definitely worth it.
